Album Review - Pierce the Veil - Misadventures

It’s Misadventures time!!

Pierce the Veil underwent years of method acting and covert operations to bring us the unedited stories of Adventure Time, Pendleton Ward’s television series. While many may be familiar with the adventures of Finn and Jake, “Misadventures” catches much that could not be aired based on big brother’s restrictions. The dirty underbelly of cartoon societal constructs, addiction, crime and graphic nudity are expressed in this retelling of experiences Pierce the Veil could never erase from their brains. Sources close to the band say several members of Adventure Time are bound and gagged in various tour bus compartments. As long as they possess the unaging powers of cartoon, Texas truly is forever.

Even more interesting is the scientific contributions Pierce the Veil has contributed to the academic community this year through the discovery of parallel universe time and space (PUTS) travel. For without this, the band would never have been able to access the world of Adventure Time. “Misadventures” has spurred what some fans would blindly call a stage theme of space travel in recent concerts. However, this is Pierce the Veil blatantly displaying their success for all other PUTS researchers to see. Vic Fuentes spells out the success of the band’s research in “Today I Saw the Whole World” and “Phantom Power and Ludicrous Speed.” At times these songs are a bit on the nose, but we can forgive them for that. Tell me when you can travel to alternate dimensions! “Misadventures” is a must own.
